Aperture 2 is streamlined application for the capturing and output of high resolution RAW digital camera photos. Aperture 2 features an easy to use interface, with faster browsing and enhanced image processing. Add to this the power of plug-in architecture - there are over 70 powerful plug-ins available for Aperture already.

Aperture 2 WorkFlow
  1. Set-up your the Aperture project and output storage areas.
  2. Use your card reader
  3. Or connect your camera directly to your Mac via USBĀ  or FireWire (tethered)
  4. Save your photos directly into an Aperture project.
  5. Add meta-data to your photos such as copyright information.
  6. Save blown highlights using the recovery tool.
  7. Adjust saturation, colour and tone in an image.
  8. Use the versatile image repair tool to repair areas of an image.
  9. Apply Dodge and Burn effects on an image with included plug-in.
  10. Apply Sharpen and Blur effects on an image with included plug-in.
  11. Use speciality plug-ins such as PictureCode's Noise Ninja
  12. Save your Aperture project.
  13. Export your images in the size and format of choice.
Aperture's plug-in architecture
  • Image Editing Plug-Ins - includes specialist tools for manipulating the noise, making selective adjustments or lens correction to an image.
  • Export Plug-ins - export your photos to Flickr, Facebook, SmugMug, other photo sharing web sites or easily upload your photos to a remote FTP server directly from Aperture.
  • Extras - Themes or templates for web or books.
    AppleScripts - Your workflow within Aperture can be streamlined with the use of AppleScript.
