Web Design
This initial process involves marketing research and analysis on the product or service. We use both creativity and experienced web-logic before approaaching web-design. This initial process can be broken up into the following categories:
- Research - The finding of the wants and desires of the targeted market.
- Design - The frequent checking the overall visual-appeal of the web-site.
- Colour theory - Proportioned complimentary colours and tones.
- Layout - Proportioned position of all images, illustrations and typography.
- Illustration - Pictures drawn or at least appearing to drawn by hand.
- Photography - Still or moving images add to the visual experience.
- Copywriting - Good copywriting is exactly like a good sales-person.
- Typography - Styled and proportioned text element of the web-page.
- Features - The programmed features the web-site will have.
Web Programming
Our web programming department can code in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, some PHP and SQL.
- HTML is the structure and layout of some web-pages.
- JavaScript is the language used to make groovy web interface features.
- CSS is a layout and web typographic language.
- DHTML is a page with animated elements on them created with the above 3 languages.
- PHP is a large language capable of creating highly featured dynamic web-pages.
- SQL is a database language used by internet database servers like MySQL.
As programming a website can be down-right difficult and take many months to complete a site, our programming department also uses many paid and free web software code snippets to completely build websites fast. For example.... a $10,000 site that may take 6 months to build can be built for less than half price in only a months time.
Web Mastering
Web Mastering is sometimes a very technical process of using Command-Line (like DOS commands) and where possible using applications to perform some tasks. Web Mastering usually involves:
- Buying Internet Domain Names
- Setting up domains
- Creating email accounts
- Creating MySQL databases
- Transfering the website via FTP to the web host
- Responding to site errors
- Responding to hack attemps
